Admissions Requirements & Application Materials

Academic Qualifications

Our program seeks the following academic qualifications in applicants. 

  • Bachelor’s Degree:
    • Earned from an accredited college or university with a minimum 3.0 grade point average (GPA). 
  • Prerequisite undergraduate courses:
    • Intermediate Microeconomics 
    • Intermediate Macroeconomics
    • Introductory Statistics
    • Completion of an undergraduate econometrics course is strongly preferred. 
  • GRE Scores

Resume  

Your resume should be current and highlight previous professional and academic experience, as well as achievements and awards.

Pursuant to Florida Statute, your application requires the inclusion of all post-high school education and employment, as well as information about ongoing international affiliations and research funding. Please be sure this information is included on your curriculum vitae (CV) or résumé.

GRE Scores

Applicants are required to complete the GRE test and submit their scores.

Two Letters of Recommendation   

Letters of recommendation can be academic, professional, or personal. At least one academic letter is preferred. Letters of recommendation should describe the applicant’s academic training and technical skillset.  

Personal Statement   

This one-page personal statement should address the applicant’s academic and professional interests and describe how this program fits within their longer-term professional goals. 

Application Fee  

Applicants pay a one-time $30.00 non-refundable application fee. An additional processing fee is applied for credit card payments.
